The Kirtland Temple
This temple has seen the beginning of the Church of Jesus Christ of Ladder-day Saints and is the very first temple to be built. The unique thing about this temple is that it was built to house the Saints weekly Sunday meetings, and does not contain the normal temple rooms like the others. This house was the house that prepared the Saints for their next destination in Nauvoo, Illinois. They were many miraculous occurrences in this temple that built the Saint’s faith. When building this temple, the Saint’s did not have much to make it with. However, they trusted in the Lord and used everything they had from fine china, to the wood from around the town. It’s is an amazing sight to see that this temple is still standing, and in great condition.
